Being a founding and ongoing member of the Canadian Association of Chemical Distributors (CACD), CCC is committed to Responsible Distribution®, which is also a condition of membership. This Code of Practice governs the actions of member companies to meet the guiding principles, as they relate to all aspects of the distribution of chemicals, chemical products, and chemical services. Many ingredients, such as acidulants, chelates, and preservatives, are types of chemicals, and as a result, our Ingredients business follows Responsible Distribution® practices.
As Canadians and people around the World become more concerned about chemicals and their effect on human health and the environment, it is imperative that programs such as Responsible Distribution® exist.
The program known as Responsible Distribution® is not only a responsible management system, but is a code of conduct and includes overarching ethics that are part of the day to day life and operations of a chemical distributor. By being a part of the CACD and Responsible Distribution®, our company is committed to being socially responsible at all times, and we are accountable throughout the distribution life cycle of the product – incoming and outgoing delivery, storage and handling.
CACD’s members accepted third party verification of their Responsible Distribution® management system as a condition of membership in May 1998.
